Happy birthday, Betcee May

I was so excited to finally work with Betcee May who is signed with Nous Model Management, here in Los Angeles.  This was long time in the works and we only did a quick 20 minute shoot so we could finally meet but it finally happen last month and she was phenomenal and well worth the wait and I can't wait to work with her again.  Today is her birthday.  Happy birthday, Betcee!

Room Service

On my recent trip to Las Vegas, model, entertainer ,and personal fitness trainer, Rico Elbaz dropped by my hotel room at Treasure Island for a quick little photo shoot.  This italian stallion was great to work with and had such a cool demeanor and was a pleasure to meet.  Unfortunately my room didn't have great natural lighting like other rooms I have shot in, such as The Standard shoot but nonetheless, Rico brought the heat.

During our shoot, Rico received some sexy room service.  He is a large part of the Vegas entertainment scene so please check out his website at  What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

Happy Birthday, Roberto!

Wishing Roberto Maya of Hollywood Model Management, a happy and creatively blissful birthday.  Roberto was featured in YVY magazine last year, showing off his great modeling skills.  It was a great pleasure working with him.

Last days in NYC

I have reached the end of my NYC adventure.  I had great times with friends, gained some good knowledge, and a dose of inspiration to take back to L.A.   Here are a few more images from the last couple of days in the Big Apple.

Random shots around the city.  Myrtle-Willoughby is where my friend, Sidney lives so I spent many of HOURS at this platform, when going into the city.

Sidney does a shoot with 3 bullfrogs.  His roommate, Rebecca is his model.  After the shoot, the 3 bullfrogs became dinner but not for me.  I ate chicken that night.

Hanging out with the fellas in Greenwich Village.  Jason, Ramel and I are painting the town.

Photographer and editor in chief of Obvious Magazine, is teaching me sign language.

Find Sidney!  My friend Sidney took part of an art performance, produced by Sarah Small, Tableau Vivant as one of 120 nude participants.  Quite an interesting show!

This is a family that participated in the performance that actually got married during the show.

Some very interesting art pieces on display at the show.  This wraps up my trip!  L.A. here I come!!!

Stormy weather

One thing about New York City, the weather is unsettling.  All week I have had problems with the weather and it made me appreciate Los Angeles even more, since I am more of a natural light and outdoor shooter.  One minute it's sunny and at the blink of an eye, dark clouds will roll in.  It's all about timing.  This actually turned out to be pretty effective for this series.  We rarely get dramatic skies like this in L.A., but at the same time, we rarely get rain.  In this series, the model, Rachel, sports a hat that was purchased for me by fashion and portrait photographer Jeffery Andre, during my first visit to Harlem.

My New York trip continues...

My 3 week New York City trip continues with the end of week 2.  One more week in the Big Apple.

I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge.  Not something I would have thought about doing but my friend, photographer/ model, Sidney Etienne convinced me to do it and you're so fascinated by the site of the city and river, you're all the way across before you know it.

And once you're across the Brooklyn Bridge, you're in the City.

I went to the Brooklyn Museum for the first time with my friend Ramel, for the 1st Saturday event that takes place every month.  I could not believe how many people were there.

Ramel scopes out the place at the end of the event, as everyone is leaving.

Photographer genius, Tarrice Love works his magic, while shooting Victor Ross, with L.A. models.

Sidney has some interesting models to photograph.  They are waiting in their lounge, as the photographer is prepping for the shoot.

Sidney's roommate, Rebecca, who is also a model and great photographer, decides to chill with one of the models.  Please check out Rebecca's work at

One more week to go!!!

I love the movement that can be captured in dance and I love photographing dancers.  It takes the image to another energy level or it is a great way to showcase form and grace.  In this set I have Alex, from Colby models in New York City and then the vibrant and lovely, Ambrielle, which I shot right before I left for NYC.
