The Ranch

This is an oldie but goodie.  I shot this at a horse ranch, in Navasota Texas, over 15 years ago before there was such thing as a digital camera.  I learned photography with film and this is one of my old film images.  I've always liked the look of film and very natural images versus the modern, over photoshopped images.  The reason why I posted this image up today is because it is the female model's birthday.  I've been knowing Dionne since she was in elementary school and I have been a long time friend of her family and I watched Dionne blossom into a woman.   This image was one of my favorites for years and a 20x30 print is hanging in my parent's bedroom.  After the shoot, we went horseback riding and my horse ran uncontrollably from under me and I haven't been back on a horse since then.

Hanging on to Heaven

Happy birthday to great male model and actor, Kairon John.  I love working with Kairon because of his energy, he is a lot of fun to work with, and he has an amazing body.  The first set of images are from our very first shoot, where we worked in studio to create different shapes and lines.  The following images were shot at San Onofre in southern California, near Camp Pendleton and the image with the rope is named, "Hanging on to Heaven".  Happy birthday Kairon!

GREED

Airess can't seem to get enough and we can't get enough of her.  In this series, I collaborated with Hollywood stylist, Marc Littlejohn and one of my favorite female models, Airess, with a helping of young, strapping men, vying to please her.  I had the idea of shooting Airess with 2 male models, with the look of Greed; one is just not enough, for this fashion editorial, but Marc, the stylist of the shoot thought, why stop at just 2 models; let's make her real greedy, so we ended up with 9 male models in total.  This editorial was just recently published in Carbon Copy #2

Autumn Leaves

This was my first photo shoot with Ashley Durvernay in Prospect Park in Brooklyn, NY.   I was intrigued by the vivid colors of the leaves since this is not something we see in southern California.  I was also intrigued by Ashley's modeling skills, so this was the beginning of a great working relationship and friendship.  Since this shoot, Ashley has moved to Los Angeles and is steadily pursuing his modeling career and currently signed with Photogenics.

Red Smoke

There is just something intriguing about red heads...

Birthday shout to Ms. Jeanetta Thomas

Jeanetta and I have been friends for almost 20 years and today she celebrates her birthday.  Jeanetta is a stylist, jewelry designer and sells vintage clothes in Houston Texas and she has the largest and best collection of vintage clothes that I have ever seen.  She is also a writer, actress and mother of 3, with lips that can cool a cup of soup in 3 seconds flat.  In other words, she is a busy plus sexy woman, full of soul and passion.  If you are looking for a stylist in Houston, Jeanetta is the woman for you and you can find her at her Facebook page.  Happy birthday Jeanetta!

Penthouse Pet

The following set is of November 2002 Penthouse Pet, Sophia Santi.  She was fantastic to work with but at the time of the shoot, I didn't know who she was.  She waited until our after shoot dinner at Numero Uno Pizza to let me know that she was a Penthouse Pet.  Sophia had a lot of energy during the shoot and was a very interesting girl to get to know.  She is well travelled and smart.  A lot of people may look down on men and women in the porn industry but there are a lot of people (not all) in the industry who are very intelligent and have a lot of business sense and Sophia is one of them.  If interested in seeing more of her, you can visit her site at http://www.sophiasantixxx.com/.  My images are quite tamed but it was a pleasure working with her.
